In the year 2000, The Star Online was gracious in creating the web page profie of a Malaysian politician and my father was the first person they chose to document his biodata. The retired politician often described by newspaper headlines, as the ‘reluctant chief minister’ also happened to celebrate his 89th birthday this October 7, 2000; the online web presence came timely, and the messages of hope that he received from friends, and people who knew little of him really made it the best birthday gift for him. Simply awesome… what the WWW can do to reach out to the masses. Great thanks and appreciation to all who have taken time to send e-mail replies upon visiting the website. There were too many emails responses to download, and I, on behalf of my family – who are not internet-savvy – thank you all for the good e-mail wishes which you have conveyed about my father from your heart.
